P/T Librarian I

Middletown Thrall Library is seeking a part –time Librarian I to work
up to 20 hours per week providing reference services to patrons at our adult services reference desk.  We are currently seeking individuals who are available to work evening and weekend shifts but occasional morning, and afternoon shifts will be available as well.   

QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants must be in possession of a Master’s degree
from an American Library Association accredited M.L.S. or M.S.I. S.
program and a NYS Professional Librarian’s Certificate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have the ability to work a varied
schedule to include morning, afternoon, evening and weekend
shifts.  Applicants must possess strong customer service and technology
skills.  Knowledge of Sirsi-Dynix Symphony and Spanish language fluency
a plus.

COMPENSATION:  $28.00 per hour
